Procrastination

The word of the week! It's all I ever want to do now. I am so tired after the finals at school, and all I really want to do is come home and do anything other than study again (this mainly consists of DDRing, talking on the phone, kicking my full backpack around, pretending to ignore the fact that it is actually pretty heavy and therefore hard to kick, and tons of other stuff--- tomorrow is shopping day to take the place of kicking stuff around!). Anyway, to wrap up from my Dancing with the Stars rant, Apollo Anton Ohno won. Whatever... there is no hope in the world anymore. I am totally disappointed that Joey Fatone didn't win, he deserved it and had a ton a fun! Grrr, this angers me! Idol is tonight, and if Jordin loses to Blake, then there really is no honesty in the world. Blake cannot sing. I grant you that he can beatbox, but that really does not count as singing. This is one of my procrastination moments where I sit here and blog instead of really doing what I should be. Oh no, I think that my conscience is kicking in! I am being drawn by my books to some strange faraway land of...thinking?

It Won't Be Soon Before Long

Such Irony in the title of this one! My update on music... Maroon 5's album with the same name as my post! It came out today, and since I was up around 1am, I downloaded it. It is VERY GOOD! Definitley download it if you like something a bit different. It is so unlike their first album, it has a few undertones of the old, but it is definitley the new thing. Here's the song-by-song run through.
1) If I never see your face again= alright, but not the best. ***
2) Makes me wonder= fantabulous, that's all I can say! *****
3) Little of your time= pretty good, fast paced! ****
4) Wake up call= Different...I don't really get it, but whatever. **
5) Won't go home with out you= I really like it. very original. ****
6) Nothing lasts forever= did they already release this, or is this major deja vu? ****
7) Can't stop= I love it. Enough said= ****
8) Goodnight Goodnight= I like it, but the refrain consists of one word repeated about 70 times. **
9) Not Falling Apart= I don't really know. *
10) Kiwi= I love the title, but the song isn't that great. ***
11) Better that we Break= the best slow song on the album. *****
12) Back at your door= again, I don't really get it. ***
13) Figure it out= if you only download one song, let this be it! this is the best song on the whole album, and it has an amazing beat and other awesome stuff like that! *****+some
Anyway, that's it, and I hope you love the album as much as I did!

"Reality TV"

Personally, I am fascinated by the irony of the word reality. Reality is real. Wouldn't that make reality tv at least somewhat life like? Anyway... about American Idol. Jordin Sparks should totally win. She deserves it, and would be awesome! Blake whats-his-name is pretty good too, but he's not a "singer". Ummm yeah, the reality part of that show is summed up in the auditions. Hardly anyone is capable of holding a tune! that would be the reality of the situation. and, in addition, I refuse to vote for the show, no matter how much I love Jordin, because more people vote for this stupid 'reality' show than those who vote for the leader of our country. This appals me. Nevertheless, I will be glued to the TV for a while tonight, neglecting my studies, but I think I deserve a bit of a break, yeah? Oh, the other 'reality show'... Dancing With the Stars. I love it. This has been an amazing season, and dude, the finale will be so much fun to watch. I would love it if Joey Mr. N*Sync dude won, because he seems like he totally enjoys it! surprisingly, I grant this show some form of reality that it claims to have. I meet Jerry Rice the year after he was on the show, and he could not stop telling me about the experience (The conversation got started after my dad told him that I was a dancer too). That show is semi-reality, so I am also watching it tonight! Shows like the Bachelor are so pointless. I won't even start to talk about that. Anyway, this has been a fabulous rant about almost nothingness. Any views?

First things First

the first day of blogging! wow! to me this kind of represents the end of my school year. Last summer I started my first blog, and so blogging again reminds me of schoolless days. Today was so fun. I had my Latin final, and it turned out to be super easy! I was really excited, and I hope that I did well! Tomorrow is our day packed full of what I call "Teacher fun"... the teachers love it, but our definitions of fun are quite varied. I have our 3 hour massive, and quite frightening Humane Letters final. wow. Just the thought sends chills down my spine! After a tough half day, I'm home, and supposed to be studying. Right now, I really can't stand the thought. I am here, and am so excited to be up and blogging again! Anyway, I have to keep my popculture away from my intellectual side, so another post will be up soon re. American Idol and such ridiculous shows.
